VANCOUVER, BC: Wednesday, May 18. Today’s weather is expected to be wet and windy, with rain in the morning, and a good chance of showers in the afternoon, with a high of 11 C, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. The agency has also posted a special weather statement for wind, with gusts of up to 70 km / h expected, along with up to 60 millimeters of rain over higher terrain.
The agency says the storm will be accompanied by freezing levels of 1100 to 1500 meters, which means precipitation will fall as heavy snow in the mountains.
Overnight, it looks cloudy, with wind, a slight chance of showers, and a low of 6 C. Then, the stormy weather is forecast to clear up for sunshine on Thursday, followed by a mix of sun and cloud on Friday, with highs of 13 C and 15 C, respectively. Looking ahead to the weekend, the weather should be clear, sunny and warm Saturday and Sunday, with highs of 16 C and 17 C, respectively.
