Police and ambulance vehicles were called to a Birmingham estate after reports of a ‘stabbing’. The incident took place in Churchill Road on the Falcon Lodge Estate in Sutton Coldfield ‘between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday (May 22).
Ambulance and police vehicles attended the scene with a helicopter, believed to be an air ambulance also in attendance. There were some six police cars and 15 police officers seen at the scene.
Eyewitnesses said a stabbing had taken place. One, who asked to remain anonymous, told BirminghamLive that the incident took place right outside the Balti Lodge Indian takeaway.

Blood splatter marks were spotted on the pavement outside the takeaway. One witness reported the ambulance service to be first on the scene at around 5.50pm and then the police arrived.
Shortly before 8pm police removed the cordon, some two hours after the incident took place and officers reopened the road, which had been blocked. Officers were still huddled together and appeared to be discussing the next stage of the investigation. West Midlands Police has been approached for a comment.
