Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation in midtown Toronto.
Toronto police said that on Thursday, June 2, a man followed a 35-year-old woman from a store near Yonge Street and Davisville Avenue to a nearby side street and then sexually assaulted her.
The woman managed to get away and contact police.
“The man fled in an unknown direction,” police said in a Tuesday, June 7 news release in which a security camera image of the suspect was also released.
The man is in his late 30s or early 40s, five-feet 10-inches tall with a light to medium build, long straight brown hair and a full brown beard and mustache. He was wearing black rectangular reading glasses, a dark baseball hat, a dark sleeveless T-shirt and knee-length dark green shorts.
