A woman is the latest to be arrested in an alleged moving scam.

Toronto Police officers from 41 Division executed search warrants on June 24 in Scarborough – near Bellamy Rd. and Progress Ave. – and arrested two men.
On Tuesday, Amethyst Jones, 27, of Toronto, turned herself in to police.
Police say the suspect is charged with 22 counts of false pretense; 22 counts of fraud over $ 5,000; 22 counts of mischief over $ 5,000; 22 counts of possession of property obtained by crime; and conspiracy to commit indictable offense.
She was expected to appear in Toronto East Courts on Wednesday via video link.

Police say as part of this investigation, officers recovered a substantial amount of personal items believed to be from victims and it will take some time to sort through the property and return it to the owners.
