There’s a binge-worthy reality show coming to our screens that will see singles vie for love and cash.
For the very first time, Heartbreak Island is going global with an all-new international cast, including Perth-based social media manager and personal trainer Kacey Watson.
Watson, 23, shared the news on her Instagram Stories with her more than 40,000 followers.
“The cat’s finally out of the bag, the big secret’s finally out, one I have not wanted to keep but have had to and almost slipped out multiple times,” she said.
“I just want to say thank you for all your love and support.
“Massive thank you to all my friends for doing such an amazing job at keeping this all under wraps. You guys do not know the level that they went to. ”
The next clip showed the extent Watson’s friends went to keep the casting a secret, by faking “your hand so it looks like you’re here” in a picture of glasses clinking.
Singles from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US will arrive on a tropical island, where they will put it all on the line to find their perfect partner and compete for $ NZ100,000 cash.
The series was filmed in Fiji earlier in the year and will see 16 Heartbreak Island contestants pair up, face challenges, choose to stay or stray from their partner and fight to avoid elimination.
The show might sound familiar to fans of Netflix’s first season of Too Hot To Handle.
Queenslander Harry Jowsey won the first season of Heartbreak Island in 2018.
New Zealand TV and radio personality Clinton Randell (Masked Singer NZ, Dancing With The Stars NZ) is on board to host.
“I could not wait to start shooting Heartbreak Island, this time with our first-ever global cast. I cheered, laughed, teared up, stirred the pot, threw in a few twists, and made life-long friends. I can not wait for viewers to see it, ”he said.
Heartbreak Island is coming soon to 7plus.
