He may have starred alongside some of the world’s best-known actors but it seems Brad Pitt is prone to forgetting what they look like.

The Hollywood heartthrob believes he has a rare health disorder that triggers face blindness.

The 58-year-old told GQ magazine that he believes he has prosopagnosia – a rare disorder that causes people not to recognize faces.

The disorder is usually present at birth and will affect sufferers for most of their lives.

Pitt said he was worried that the disorder, which it is understood he has not been officially diagnosed as having, led people to view him as “aloof, inaccessible, self-absorbed”.

“Nobody believes me! I wanna meet another (sufferer), ”he told the magazine.

Pitt, whose films include the hit Ocean’s 11 franchise alongside George Clooney and Matt Damon, has previously described how he struggles to figure out who is who.

“I can not grasp a face and yet I come from such a design / aesthetic point of view,” he said.

The actor also talked about his life after Angelina Jolie.

He said that he felt emotional turmoil and deep sadness were an inevitable part of growth.

“I think all our hearts are broken,” he said.

“I always felt very alone in my life, alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here, and it’s really not ’til recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family.”
